Medical Oncologist

The Grand River Regional Cancer Centre/Waterloo Wellington (GRRCC) is currently
recruiting for a 1.0 full time equivalent (FTE) Alternate Payment plan (APP) funded
Medical Oncology position. This position is effective immediately.

GRRCC and Cambridge Memorial Hospital provide a full service of comprehensive
cancer treatments to more than 700,000 residents in the Waterloo Region,
Wellington County and the surrounding area.

The successful applicant would join the Medical Oncology team and work primarily
at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

The duties would include regular outpatient oncology clinics, and providing
consultations in the Emergency Room when required and Inpatient consultations.
Opportunities for teaching with the Satellite McMaster University Faculty of Health
Sciences are available and encouraged, with a stream of clerks, residents and
fellows regularly rotating through the program.
Waterloo Wellington is a rapidly growing community that has grown along the
banks of the Grand River. The region is often referred to as “Silicon Valley North”
with wonderful schools, sports amenities, and cultural events.
Certification in Medical Oncology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons
of Canada, and eligibility for independent licensure in the Province of Ontario are
required. The successful applicant must also obtain and maintain privileges at
Grand River Hospital, Cambridge Memorial Hospital, and other associated hospitals
in the region as required.
