Event Co-Chairs

Dr. Martina Trinkaus

Martina Trinkaus
MD, FRCPC

Dr. Martina Trinkaus is an associate professor and staff hematologist at St. Michael’s Hospital with the University of Toronto. She completed her undergraduate training in Life Sciences and Physical Health and Education at Queen’s University and completed both her medical school and residency training at the University of Toronto. Since graduating from the Hematology training program in Toronto in 2009, she has remained at St. Michael’s Hospital practicing malignant hematology and serving on much education-based committees. She currently currently the Lead for Clinician Teachers in the Department of Medicine at UofT and previously served as the Hematology Program Director. Dr. Trinkaus also serves as the co-chair for Women in Cancer/ All in Cancer. Her medical interests include medical education with research focused on mentorship and e-based learning.

Dr. Matthew Seftel

Matthew Seftel
MD, MPH

Dr. Matthew Seftel is a Hematologist based at Canadian Blood Services in Vancouver, where he serves as Medical Director for CBS Stem Cells. He is a clinical professor at the University of British Columbia. His academic interests are inBlood and Marrow Transplant/cellular therapy and complex hematological malignancies.
