About the Faculty

Dr. Scott Berry
Conference Chair
Dr. Scott Berry is a medical oncologist and Professor and Department Head in the Queen’s University Department of Oncology.He is the Cancer Program Medical Director at the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre.
Dr.Berry is an active participant in clinical research in GI cancer. He is the Co-Chair of the GI Disease Site Group of the CCO Program in Evidence Based Care.
Dr. Berry loves teaching, has won several teaching awards and is a past Chair of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Specialty Committee for Medical Oncology.
His other academic interest is the bioethical issues surrounding the care of people with cancer, in particular the ethical issues surrounding funding new and expensive cancer medications. Dr. Berry has a Master’s degree in Bioethics from the University of Toronto. He is the former ethics advisor to the pan-Canadian Oncology Drug Review and has served on the ASCO Ethics Committee.

Prof. Srikala Sridhar
Conference Chair
Dr. Srikala Sridhar is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto and a Medical Oncologist at Princess Margaret Cancer Center. She is the Site Lead for the Genitourinary Medical Oncology site group. Nationally, she is the Chair of the Genitourinary Medical Oncologists of Canada and Vice Chair of the Medical Advisory Board of Bladder Cancer Canada. She is a member of the Canadian Clinical Trials Group, Genitourinary Disease Site Executive Committee and the US NCI Bladder Cancer Task Force. Her main research focus is in the area of new drug development in advanced genitourinary cancers. She has been the principal investigator or co-investigator on several key practice-changing trials in genitourinary oncology and has published extensively in the field. She is regarded as an international expert in the field of advanced bladder cancer. In addition, in 2011, she received a University of Toronto, Postgraduate Medicine Teaching Award and in 2020, the University of Toronto, Department of Medicine, Robert Hyland Mentorship Award.
