11th Canadian Melanoma Conference: Research Frontiers
OncologyEducation is proud present the 11th Canadian Melanoma Conference. The Canadian Melanoma Conference is Canada’s international flagship meeting on the research and treatment of melanoma. This event will take place February 2nd-5th, 2017 at the Westin Whistler in Whistler, BC.
This conference brings together medical oncologists, surgeons, dermatologists, radiotherapists, pathologists, molecular biologists, immunologists, and other allied health professionals interested in the treatment of melanoma worldwide.
Registration Fees for Full 3-Day Conference:
Physician: $300 CAD
Nurses/Pharmacists/Residents/Alllied Health: $150 CAD
About the Chair
Dr. Scott Ernst, MD, FRCPC is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario where he has also served as Divisional Head, Medical Oncology for the past three years. He graduated from University of Ottawa and completed his postgraduate training in Edmonton, Alberta, including the Cross Cancer Institute. He has held faculty positions at the Universities of Calgary, East Carolina and Miami.
His principle clinical interest has been in the management of GU AND ENT malignancies, and melanoma. His specific research has focused upon new drug development and bone metastases.
Dr. Ernst has participated in numerous national and international clinical trials and has authored over 50 peer reviewed publications. He is currently an executive member of the NCIC CTG Melanoma Group and is a founding co-chair for the Canadian Melanoma Conference.
